Quick action credited with saving bleeding man’s life

A Lake City family is very grateful to the passersby and emergency medical personnel that they say saved a family member’s life.

On April 22, Chad Moyer was breaking down some cardboard and styrofoam while cleaning his garage when the knife he was using hit a thin spot in the styrofoam and punctured his leg.

“I saw blood come out and I knew something was wrong,” he said.

He tried to call 911 but his phone was covered in blood, so he went to the end of the driveway and yelled for help.
