Float-a-palooza is Sunday at Hok-Si-La
Lake City’s family summer beach party is back after a one-year hiatus.
Float-a-palooza is set for Sunday, Aug. 15, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with lots of free activities in the water and on land.
With the Ohuta Beach area under construction, the event’s organizers, the Lake City Chamber of Commerce, decided to hold this year’s event at Hok-Si-La Park. It’s on Sunday to work around Saturday, when the park is usually at its busiest.
People can bring water mats and other flotation devices to relax on the swimming beach.
