Millville girl wins honors for school bus turned ‘rat rod’

Phillip Leonard built a 1950s-era diesel truck into a “rat rod” - a custom-built vehicle with original paint that makes it look old and weathered.

His little sister saw that and knew she needed to top that effort.

Sidney Leonard went all out to outdo Phillip. The 16-year-old rural Millville girl went to work transforming part of a 1990s-era International school bus into a chassis to be used as a rat rod with a 1952 Chevy truck cab.

A cool one, with dual smokestacks … and a wrecker boom.
