Float-a-palooza, ‘Y-Knot’ triathlon this Saturday
The Lake City Chamber of Commerce is hoping to have two great events that go great together Saturday, Aug. 13, when it puts on the first Y-Knot Tri triathlon and the annual Float-a-palooza beach party.
Ohuta Beach park will be the focal point for both events. All three legs of the triathlon will begin and end at the park Saturday morning.
The Y-Knot Tri is a non-traditional triathlon consisting of a 2.5-mile paddle on Lake Pepin, a 14-mile bike ride to and from Frontenac, and a 5K run along the shore of Lake Pepin.
