Author and former city resident Kate Halverson to speak at library

The Lake City Public Library invites the public on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 6:30 p.m., to a book talk with Minnesota author, artist, and former Lake City resident Kate Halverson.

Halverson will discuss her memoir Reaching Up to Touch Bottom. The title is based on a line her mother often quoted in reference to raising her middle daughter, Mary Louise, who was schizophrenic.

She will also discuss the writing process and how to get your book to print.
