Pass It On benefits Hiawatha Animal Humane Society
When I went to Lake City Anytime Fitness on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 18, I knew that my usual workout was not my only business there.
I knew that I would be seeing more than the familiar faces and exercise equipment.
Word was that four-legged friends would be there, too.
That’s because the Hiawatha Animal Humane Society (HAHS) was holding a pet adoption day at the fitness center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. I was going to see the pets, present a financial donation from our Pass It On Thrift Shop to support the work of HAHS, and then work out.
