Planning department’s 2022 annual report shows fewer new homes than in 2021
The City of Lake City had fewer home starts in 2022 than in 2021 as a city initiative to get single-family homes built in Eagle Vista Estates winds down. Homebuilding elsewhere in the city remained steady year-over-year.
The annual report from the city’s Planning and Community Development Department reported 19 new homes built in Lake City in 2022, down from 24 in 2021.
The report breaks the city down into three areas: The Jewel Planned Unit Development (PUD), the original City of Lake City Plat, and Eagle Vista Estates.
