Lake City Kiwanis Club recently hosted a talk by retired river boat captain Lee Hendrix, who has spent 51 years working on rivers of our country.
A very entertaining speaker, he educated the Kiwanians about the river boats in ways unexpected.
He will be speaking again at City Hall’s ballroom on Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m. for a Historical Society gathering.
Look for his book release in March 2024.
