Meetings on invasive carp planned

The Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance (LPLA) and Friends of the Mississippi River (FMR) are hosting four community action meetings (including a virtual option) “to engage people in efforts to protect our rivers, lakes and streams from invasive carp,” the groups said in a news release.

These meetings will build on previous research and recent legislative efforts, and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is expected to present its newly updated Invasive Carp Action Plan. There will also be time for attendees to ask questions and share their feedback.
