Four resign from city volunteer posts following planning commissioner’s ouster
Four members of City of Lake City boards and commissions have resigned following the City Council’s July 8 vote to remove Tom Rasmussen from the city planning commission.
According to City Administrator Rob Keehn, planning commission member Dennis Branum and Joe Kjelland resigned from that board, and Mary Nelson and Mary Jane Rasmussen resigned from the city marina board.
Branum, Kjelland, and Nelson all spoke on Tom Rasmussen’s behalf during the public forum July 8 preceeding the 5-2 vote to remove him.
