Now you, too, can soar with the eagles

Once endangered, bald eagles are again plentiful around Lake Pepin. Now another creature stands ready to return to the skies over Lake City after a prolonged absence. That creature is us.

And on Sunday, April 3, us was me in a tandem harness hundreds of feet above Lake Pepin in a hang glider piloted by Dave Dybsand of Eagle Hang Gliding.

After 25 years of home design and construction work in the Twin Cities area under the name Dave Alan Homes, Dybsand has decided to make hang gliding, specifically hang gliding on Lake Pepin, his business.
