City hires planner, port authority director, others
The Lake City City Council approved several hires Sept. 9, including some high profile positions.
Councilmembers voted unanimously to hire Kristi Gross as the city’s new planning and community development director.
Gross replaces Megan Smith, who left the position in July. Since Smith’s departure, City Administrator Rob Keehn has taken on the planning role in addition to his regular duties.
Keehn told the council that Gross was the leading candidate of the five interviewed for the position.
