Walnut tree lover selling seedlings through Wabasha SWCD program

In Wabasha County, no one loves black walnut trees than Tom Gosse, our most famous black walnut grower and promoter. Maybe Tom had some influence on Stacy Miller and maybe Stacy just also really likes walnut trees, too.

Miller’s story begins in 1982 when he asked Carl and Angie McNallan if he could gather some walnuts from the nicest tree he knew of, the one in their front yard.

“It was 30 inches wide and more than 20 feet of trunk…straight with no limbs.”
