Chandler turns up heat on field to win invitational

Matthew Chandler did not record a bogey in 45 holes, shot a 7-under par 64 to jump out ahead of the field on Saturday, and finished 9-under for the tournament to claim his first Lake City Invitational title in the 47th edition of the tournament Sunday, July 27.

Chandler, who grew up in Chester, Nova Scotia, had a great first day. He shot a 32 on each 9 for a 6 shot lead over Ben Rasinski, Parker Schurhammer, and Luke Halvorson who all were 1-under at 70. Brent Dickerman, Carter Gnotke and Brandon Sperling were all even par at 71.
