Beavers key to Frontenac Pond ecosystem

The beavers of Frontenac State Park’s Pleasant Valley Lakelet are hard at work clearing trees along Prairie Loop trail. They built a new lodge over the summer between the fishing dock and the backpack campsites, but progress on rebuilding their dam, which was destroyed in October, has yet to be seen.
