We Minnesotans are no strangers to extreme winter weather. In recent years, various buzzwords for cold weather phenomena have had their viral moments: polar vortex, bomb cyclones, sun dogs and light pillars. But just when we thought we’d heard it all, a new contender has entered the ring: exploding trees.
