Friends and Neighbors: Civic Pride

I just looked up the definition of “Civic Pride.” Here is the short version from the Cambridge Dictionary online: “a feeling of belonging to and being proud of the town or city where you live.”

Two events happened in Lake City within a week of each other that sparked a lot of civic pride—not just to me but almost contagiously throughout the community.

The first is a tale of triumph and the second relates to a tragedy.
