Heise brings home gold
By now you might have heard that Lake City native and Red Wing High School graduate Taylor Heise is an Olympic gold medalist.
Maybe you watched Thursday, Feb. 19, as Team USA, after trailing 1-0 for much of the game, pulled their goalie with just over two minutes remaining in the game and scored the tying goal. If so, you probably also saw Heise make an outlet pass to a teammate who scored the winning goal in overtime.
Watch parties at Port 104 and Bluff View Elementary school erupted in celebration.
