Zero King reunion includes stories, a sewing machine, even a former male model

When the Lake City Historical Society invited former employees of the Zero King Coat Factory in Lake City to come to one of our Open Hours events to share their stories, we expected to hear about their experiences manufacturing these high-end coats.

And we did get some great stories. Peggy Berg showed us her scar from operating the equipment in the cutting room and spoke of the speed of the seamstresses who were paid piecemeal (by number produced) and the dangers of those rapidly moving needles.
