Boys golf team competes at Jewel Golf Club, Dodge Country Club, and Mississippi National

The Lake City Tigers boys golf team competed in a loaded field at The Jewel Invite on Monday, May 4 finishing tied for 9th overall with a team score of 340. Albert Lea and Decorah shared the top spot at 310, while Winona finished third at 311. The Tigers showed flashes of strong play throughout the day.

Alex Ratz placed 17 with a score of 81. Lane Grobe placed 36th with an 84. Nolan Kohrs placed 51st with an 87. Portland Grobe placed 59th with an 88. Bryant Gulden placed 75th with a 91. Lincoln Groth placed 79th with a 93.

Hiawatha Valley League (HVL) event No. 2 was at Dodge Country Club on Tuesday, May 5. The Lake City Tigers boys golf team battled through a competitive HVL field at the second HVL Event on Tuesday, finishing with a team score of 343. The Tigers were paced by several strong individual performances.

Portland Grobe was 9th with an 83. Alex Ratz was 19th with an 85. Nolan Kohrs was 25th with an 87. Lane Grobe was 28th with an 88. Bryant Gulden was 31st with a 90. Lincoln Grothe was 37th with a 97.

The Tigers golf team traveled to Red Wing on Thursday, finishing with a team score of 341.
