Classrooms honor visiting police officers
During the week of May 10–16, communities across the nation celebrated Police Week. Once again, Bluff View Elementary School honored the Lake City Police Department by inviting officers into classrooms to spend time with students.
The officers read books, talked with students about their jobs, showed different parts of their uniforms, and gave students an up-close look at a police car. Through a donation from Thrivent Financial, the officers also donated 19 books to classrooms at Bluff View.
