NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
    YOU WILL PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Florence Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at the Florence Township Hall, 33915 US-61, Frontenac, MN 55026, on Monday, November 9, at 6:00 p.m., to consider the following public hearing(s):
    Conditional Use Permit request to allow redevelopment of the Pelican Point property as a seasonal commercial recreational resort consisting of an expanded marina with 220 slips, a 69-site campground/resort, marine storage and repair activities, an office, bar/restaurant with off-sale liquor, tiki bar, recreational areas, associated parking and internal circulation, utility and wastewater improvements, shoreline stabilization, grading, and related site improvements.  
Applicant/Property Owners:  Jesse Hansen/Alex LaRocque, Property address:  35699 Hwy 61 Blvd, Lake City, MN  55041, Sec/Twp/Range: 13-112-13, Parcel number(s): 32.013.2100, Zoning: Commercial Recreational (CR) within the Shoreland area of Lake Pepin.
    Variance request seeking relief from the required 75-foot ordinary high water mark setback to allow subsurface utility infrastructure, portions of campground/resort sites to encroach within the setback area, as shown on the submitted site plan, and variances needed in support of the proposed Pelican Point commercial recreational development.
