Gartner: Mayo wants out of city contract

Mayo Clinic Health System wants out of its 30-year contract with the City of Lake City, the City Council was told Monday night.
A new regional Mayo structure covering much of southeastern Minnesota and some western Wisconsin locations would be governed by a 15 member board which would replace Lake City’s local Mayo Board of Trustees, according to Phil Gartner.
