Soccer girls tie one, drop 2

It was a busy homecoming week for the Lake City girls soccer team.  The Tigers came away with two losses and one tie but continue to make improvements as they prepare for section playoffs next week.
The Tigers started off the week with a home game against St. Charles for Parent’s Night Sept. 26.  St. Charles scored first midway through the first half and again with seven minutes left in the half.
Lake City got on board on a free kick by Riley Pennington late in the half.  St. Charles responded shortly after that to take a 3-1 lead over the Tigers into halftime.
