Girls Tiger golfers win invitational by 33 strokes
The Lake City girls golf team, ranked second in the latest Minnesota Golf Association’s (MGA) rankings, which includes all three classes, captured the Lake City Invite held April 18 at Lake City Golf Club.
The Tigers fired a 332 team score to win by 33 strokes over Woodbury 365, followed by Century 388, Stewartville 396, Kasson-Mantorville 410, Byron 415, and Lake City junior varsity (JV) 425.
Lake City was led by medalist Lexi Geolat’s 78, Ava Wallerich 81, Olivia Matzke 85, and Lidia Wallerich 88. Other scores included Marah Rothgarn 99 and Taylor Willers 111.
