Highway 61 special meeting is April 27
The Lake City City Council will meet tonight to settle some unfinished business from its decision April 10 to join forces with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) on a project that will convert the four-lane section of Highway 61 in Lake City to three-lanes in 2020.
The council approved a contract with MnDOT April 10 but tabled a vote on a contract with the engineering firm SEH to design the project after some on the council raised objections to approving the contract before its contents had been finalized.
