Forest firefighter battles Hurricane Harvey

A Lake City man accustomed to helping put out wildfires is responding instead the the deluge brought on by Hurricane Harvey.

Larry Himanga is a wildfire administration supervisor for the forestry division of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

As a member of an incident management team, he’s used to getting called away to deal with emergencies, fires mostly, on less than a day’s notice.

This time was a little different.
