Five girls compete in the state track meet
Five members of the Lake City High School girls track and field team competed in four events at the Class A state track and field meet June 8 and 9 in St. Paul.
Ashley Veronen finished ninth in the 300 hurdles with her time of 48.02 and she was 15th in the high jump with her jump of 5 feet.
The 4x800 relay with Liv Kozlowski, Hallie Willers, Samantha Darnell, and Lilly Meincke finished 10th with a season’s best time of 9:48.17.
Meincke placed 13th in the 400 dash (1:00.08).
