Tom Heffernan Ford celebrates 45 years
Faces both new and familiar, an estimated 500 to 600 in all, made their way to Tom Heffernan Ford in downtown Lake City for the auto dealer’s 45th anniversary celebration.
People greeted the dealership’s namesake and owner, Tom Heffernan, and dined on brats at tables in the showroom and the parking lot.
“We had a great turnout, a lot of old customers,” Heffernan said. One even drove 225 miles to attend.
Heffernan began selling cars in Lake City in 1973. He still remembers the first car he sold here.
