Divided board votes to join watershed planning process

The Wabasha County Board of Commissioners voted to participate in the planning process for the One Watershed One Plan (1W1P) but the decision was not unanimous.

The vote to participate passed 3-2, with the two farmers on the board – Rich Hall and Board Chair Brian Goihl – voting no.

All Commissioners were present for the June 19 meeting, along with County Administrator Michael Plante and County Attorney Karrie Kelly.
