Lake City Public Schools levy up 1.73 percent

The Lake City School Board unanimously certified a 1.73 percent property tax levy increase at its December meeting on Monday, Dec. 17.
Local property taxes account for about 16 percent of the district’s annual general fund revenue, according to a chart presented at a Truth in Taxation meeting preceding the vote. The majority, 80 percent, comes from the state.
