Tiger runners open season at Irish Invitational in Rosemount

The Lake City Tiger cross country season was put on hold until Friday after Wabasha-Kellogg cancelled Monday’s meet.  The Tigers ventured north to Rosemount to compete in the “Irish Invite”.  Even though almost all of the 29 teams were AA and loaded with ranked teams and individuals, the Tigers held their own.  Both varsities placed 13th while the other two squads saw the girls placing fourth and the boys sixth.
Jacey Majerus led the varsity girls by placing 31st, followed by Mela Schmitz in 72nd, McKenna Beltz in 96th, Phebe Nelson in 100th place, and Brenna Nelson in 117th.
