What was supposed to be a routine visit to the clinic for anxiety and a sports physical, turned into my worst nightmare. I never expected to hear:  “I’m sorry Mrs. Goihl, your daughter has leukemia”.  Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) to be exact.  A sneaky disease that often goes undiagnosed, is rarely found in children, and only 200,000 cases are reported each year.  I was in shock!  My next thought was: “How do I tell my daughter she has cancer?”
