Tigers power past Richfield in quarterfinal Section 4AAA win
Ben Nutt rushed for 135 yards and three touchdowns to power Lake City past Richfield 42-22 in the Section 4AAA quarterfinals last Tuesday night. The Tigers scored twice in the final six minutes to preserve the win and notch a playoff victory for the second consecutive season.
Lake City received the opening kickoff and marched right down the field to open the scoring just four minutes into the game. Justin Wohlers connected with Reid Gastner for a 25-yard touchdown before Carson Matzke booted the extra point to put the Tigers in front 7-0.
