Beverly Evers obituary

    Beverly “Bev” Ann Evers, 85, of Plainview and formerly of Theilman, passed away on Sunday, July 24, at Olmsted Medical Center Hospital in Rochester. She was born December 26, 1936, in Lake City to Emil and Myra (Rheingans) Funke. Bev attended Wabasha County Rural Schools in Oakwood Township and graduated in 1954 from Plainview High School. On June 15, 1955, she married Theodore Evers, Jr. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in rural Kellogg.
    The Evers were lifetime dairy farmers in rural Theilman where they raised their family of six daughters and three sons. Beverly was a loving mother and dedicated farm wife who truly knew and participated in all the operations of the farm throughout her life. She was a former member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Theilman and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in West Albany. Currently she is a member of St. Joachim’s Catholic Church in Plainview.
    Bev is survived by her children, Patricia (Craig Wronski) Holderbecker of Millville, Janice Derham of Faribault, Linda (Robert) Dose of Lake City, Jacqueline Schreiber, and Mary Ann (James) Sheehan both of Plainview, Rosemary Evers of Dover, Richard (Marie) Evers of Theilman, Gary (Emily) Evers of Plainview, and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Evers of Theilman; 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and her black lab Cookie and her cat Kitty. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Randy, son-in-laws, Gary Holderbecker and John Derham, and one granddaughter, Robyn.
    A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 29, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in rural Kellogg, with Msgr. Tom Melvin officiating. Burial will follow the service in Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Conception, rural Kellogg. Friends and family may visit on Thursday, July 28, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
