Bruce Freiermuth obituary
Bruce Alva Freiermuth, age 73, of Theilman, Minn. passed away early Saturday morning October 26, 2024, at his home with his family by his side. He was born on April 12, 1951, in Lake City, Minn. to Alva and Wilma (Funke) Freiermuth. On December 2, 1972, he was united in marriage to Melani Wilson of Theilman, Minn.
Bruce began his working career at Gould Inc. in Lake City in 1969. After that Bruce was a lifelong truck driver, owner, operator of Quality Trucking. He also worked for Bud Meyer Truck Lines of Lake City, Minn., and he drove for Metro Gravel from Newport, Minn. Later he started car hauling as Quality Trucking, transporting vehicles from the Midwest down to the South and back to the Midwest. After retiring he continued to drive part-time with California Overland Trucking from Wabasha, Minn..
Bruce loved old cars, tractors, and traveling. He made many trips to Branson, Mo., Tulsa, Okla., and Rockford, Ill. He even managed a couple cruises. He traveled thru the Panama Canal and the Caribbean.
He had a passion for caring for his family and friends. There were many times he took his family, friends, or neighbors to medical appointments. Bruce was very patient and understanding when he sat and talked with them. He would comfort them anyway possible.
He is survived by his loving wife, Melani (Wilson) Freiermuth of 51 years; their children, Travis and Michelle (Gustin) Freiermuth, and Joshua and Emily (Olson) Freiermuth; three grandchildren, Tyler, Annalise, and Mason; three sisters, Janet Nelson, Nancy (Gary) Campbell, and Linda (Mike) Johnson; his in-laws, David Wilson, Roger (Sandy) Wilson, Bruce (Bonnie) Wilson, Joan Wilson, and Gay (Pat) Grant. He was preceded in death by his father, Alva Freiermuth and mother, Wilma (Funke) Freiermuth, and his father-in-law, Stanley Wilson and mother-in-law, Dorothy Wilson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 16, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Theilman Opera House in Theilman.
