Carol Iverson obit
Carol Ann Iverson age 87 of Lake City, Minn., formerly of Crystal, Minn. passed peacefully through heavens gate November 12, 2024.
Wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. Carol was born October 3, 1937 and raised in Dickinson N.D. She showed musical talent at an early age playing both the piano and the flute. She moved to Minneapolis in the late 50’s to attend school and met the love of her life Linden (Sonny) Iverson. They were married in 1958. After completing school she had a long career working in many capacities in the medical industry including lab tech, office manager and finishing her career doing medical coding for the Mayo health System.
Carol loved to travel and see America, frequently taking her children and grandchildren camping and later touring the U.S. with Sonny in his classic Oldsmobiles. Steadfast and resilient she navigated the ups and downs of her husbands career as a house painter. Through good times or bad she was the matriarch of her home making sure there was always a hearty meal on the table, be it mac and cheese with ring baloney or her fabulous baked chicken.
Preceded in death by parents Edward and Tekla Kronschnabel, husband Linden Iverson, and siblings Audrey, Marjorie, Eunice, Joyce and George. Survived by children Cathy (Shayne) Curtis, Warren (Karen) Iverson and Daniel Iverson, Sherry Soupir Iverson. Grandchildren Dennis (Andrea) Iverson, Brittney (Ryan) Plumedahl and Drew Iverson. Great grandchildren Audriana, Cecilia, Jacob, Maddyn and Nash. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 14 at 1 p.m. at First Lutheran of Lake City. Visitation at 12 p.m. Luncheon to follow service.
