Chari Myers obit

Chari G. Myers, age 69, passed away surrounded by her family at St. Marys Campus, Rochester, on February 8, 2022.
Chari was born in Lake City on January 7, 1953 to Ray and Lorraine (Haglund) Glander. Chari graduated from Lincoln High School in 1971. She married the love of her life, Lloyd (JR) Myers on May 31, 1975 at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Chari wore many hats throughout her life, including seamstress, lunch lady, and secretary, but her most important roles were as a wife, mother, and grandmother.
If you knew Chari, you probably experienced her talents as a quilter, crafter, baker, and gardener. She was also an avid reader and loved the long-haul trips she took with her husband with her Kindle, coffee cup, and a view of wild animals at her side.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd (JR); daughters Jenny (Lonnie) Thompson of
Welch, Minn. and Heather (Russell) Schmidt of Albersbach, Germany; grandsons Grayson (15), Dylan (11) and Nolan (11); siblings Larry (Jane) Glander of Wabasha, Kathy (Lisa) Glander-Finstad of Brooklyn Park, Deb (Steve) Cash of St. Cloud, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and her watchdog and loyal companion, Loxie. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Chari was presented with many challenges in her life, but she faced them with a spunky and charming attitude that will be greatly missed.
A celebration of her life will be held on June 20, 2022 at the Lake City VFW with more details to follow.
