Clarice Breuer Obituary

Clarice Breuer, 91, of Lake City, passed away Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 at Diamond Rehab and Living Center in Cannon Falls, Minn.
    Clarice was born April 22, 1924 in Minneapolis to Elizabeth and Fred Carlson. She grew up in Minneapolis and then moved to Grantsburg, Wis., where she helped out on her grandfather’s farm and later graduated from high school.  After high school she moved back to Minneapolis and while working in a bank, she struck up a friendship with a co-worker who invited her down to Lake City to attend a dance.  It was there that she met a young soldier on leave and ended up being married to that soldier, Robert Breuer, for 65 years.
    Clarice and Bob enjoyed boating and spending winters in Hawaii and Padre Island, Texas after Bob’s retirement.
    Clarice is survived by three children, Patricia (Ralph Fifield) of Savannah, Ga., Todd Breuer of St. Cloud, Minn., and Leslie Ann (Scott Burfeind) of Prior Lake, Minn.  Also to mourn her passing are eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her sisters Fern and Peggy, and her husband Bob in 2008.  
    A memorial service was Saturday, Feb. 20, 11 a.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City. A private family burial was in Lakewood Cemetery in Lake City.
