Clyde Heggedahl Obituary
Clyde Owen Heggedahl, 79, of Nerstrand, Wis., died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016 at the Nerstrand Meat Market doing what he loved best.
Funeral services will be at Nerstrand United Methodist Church, Nerstrand, on Thursday, Feb. 4, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Lora Sturm officiating. Interment will be at Valley Grove Cemetery in Nerstrand.
Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home in Faribault, on Wednesday, Feb. 3, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and also at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service.
Clyde Owen, the son of Ole and Erma (Roth) Heggedahl, was born on March 1, 1936 in Faribault. He graduated from Faribault High School, and married Mary A. Henke on Oct. 11, 1961 in Nerstrand. Together with his wife, Clyde owned and operated Nerstrand Meat Market and Catering, a well known and thriving business run by the Heggedahl family for over 125 years and counting.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary; one daughter, Valerie (Tom) Kuchinka of Lake City; one son, Jeff (Laura Westby) Heggedahl of Tonka Bay; four grandchildren, Mitch, Josie and Brady Kuchinka and Kristine Novak; two nieces, Roxie (Larry) Bohan of Aurora, Colo. and Robin (Jeff) Reineke of Faribault; one cousin, Myron Heggedahl; and other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Neil (Avis) Heggedahl; and one nephew, Reid Heggedahl.
