Colene Ogren obituary

Colene Ogren, 92, of Alexandria, S.D., formerly Lake City, Minn., passed away at her home under hospice care on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life will take place at a future date. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel in Mitchell, S.D.
Colene Ann Ogren was born March 27, 1932, in Cherokee, Iowa to Walter and Ann (Wilkens) Sherrill. She attended and graduated from school in Washta, Iowa. She married Robert W. Ogren in 1951.
Colene worked as a babysitter. She loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also worked at her daughter and son-in-law’s pizzeria washing dishes and cleaning. She loved talking with the employees, they called her Grandma.
Colene is survived by her children, Vickie (Stephen) and Kevin (Jackie); grandchildren, Kelli (Mike), Tyler, Dwight (Nikki), Tera (Mark), and Robert; great-grandchildren, Easton, Lexi, Madison, Marissa, Summer, Denver, and Maci; sister, Beverly; and several nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Dwayne, Dale, and Junior, and a grandson, Joshua.
