Delores Sandborn obituary

    Delores “Dee” Sanborn, age 87, died peacefully July 18, 2021 at Urbana Place in Brooklyn Park, Minn. Born May 25, 1934 near Lake City, Minn.to Lawrence and Johanna Duden. Attended Jacksonville School and was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake City.
    Dee married Franklin David Sanborn on Aug. 28, 1954. They raised three children in Lake City and moved to Minneapolis in 1962, later moving to Robbinsdale, where they were active members of their church. She did home daycare for 20 years and also provided foster care for 25 infants over a six year period of time.
    Survived by her husband Franklin David Sanborn; children Linda Hubbard, Daniel (Marilee), and Jonathan (Sarah); sister Darlene (Phil) Griffith; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; seven brothers; and four sisters.
    Funeral service will be held Friday, July 23, 11 a.m. with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. at Salem Covenant Church, 2566 5th St. NW, New Brighton. Interment at Ft. Snelling August 3.
