Dennis Issendorf obituary

Dennis John Issendorf, age 74, of Lake City, passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2020 at the Elysian of Lake City. He was born Dec. 6, 1946 in Lake City to Dallas and Hazel (Freiheit) Issendorf. He went to school in Goodhue for a few years then his parents bought a farm near Lake City where Dennis graduated from in 1964. On Oct. 16, 1965 he married Gloria Duden. They farmed with his parents until they retired and moved to Lake City.  Dennis and Gloria took over the farm until they retired in 2006. He was a member of United Methodist Church in Lake City. Dennis loved his family, his guns, trap shooting and hunting. In his spare time he enjoyed making things for his wife. He had an abstract mind and made things out of old pieces of metal, bolts, washers, horse shoes, and anything else he could find.  He was very talented in his own way and will be sadly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; son Brad (Amy); three grandchildren, Brandon, Emily and Delaney; one great-granddaughter, Aubrey Issendorf; sister Eileen (Harry) Linscheid; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mike; one daughter, Diann Kay; one great-grandson, Owen Bradley Issendorf.
A walk-through visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City.  A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 16, 2020 at Lakewood Cemetery.  Online condolences can be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
