Dorothy Peters Obituary

Dorothy Elizabeth Peters, age 90, of Minneapolis and formerly of Lake City and Rochester, passed away on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Peters; daughters-in-law, Cathryn Peters and Marilyn Kunkel; grandchildren, Hans (Heidi) Peters, Jennifer (William) Murphy and Maggie (Joe) Rouleau;  six great-grandchildren; along with the many people whose lives she touched.  She was preceded in death by her sons, John F. Peters and Mark C. Peters, and her ex-husband, Hans J. Peters.
Dorothy loved gardening and decorating but also had great business acumen running Peters’ Construction and Development with her ex-husband in Lake City and being the managing owner of Gulliver’s Restaurant in Rochester. Her most lasting legacy is her oft repeated refrain of, “Let the people you care about know how much you love them.”
A celebration of her life was held at her residence in south Minneapolis.
