Eugene Krismer obituary

Eugene William Krismer, 81, of Zumbro Falls, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Methodist Campus. He was born Feb. 29, 1940 in Lake City to Christopher and Dorothy (Ryan) Krismer. He graduated from Elgin-Millville High School. On Feb. 9, 1963 he married Sharon Mehrkens at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in West Albany.
Eugene farmed in High Park Township, Wabasha County his entire working career. He also drove truck hauling livestock for 40+ years. Eugene loved horses and going on trail rides, attending auctions, and having coffee at Delilah’s Café. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eugene served as High Park Township Supervisor for 56 years. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Eugene is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sharon Krismer of Zumbro Falls; two daughters, Lisa (Gary) Rademacher of South St. Paul, and Angela (Joel) Harmon of Lake City; a son, Joe Krismer of Zumbro Falls; 12 grandchildren, and eight greatgrandchildren; a sister, Veronica (Gene Plantz) Stevens of Rochester; and his faithful dog, Buddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons, Tim, and Jim.
A walk-through visitation will be held on Thursday, March 11, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church – West Albany in rural Millville. The funeral mass will be on Friday, March 12 at 11 a.m. at the church with Father Matthew Fasnacht officiating, a visitation will be one hour prior to the service also. Burial will follow the service in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery – West Albany in rural Millville.
