Gary Freiburg obituary

It is with great sadness we announce that Gary L. Freiburg, 78, of Lake City, Minn. passed away on Dec. 3, 2023. He was born on June 26, 1945.
He was predeceased by his parents Alois and Loretta (Kloser) Freiburg; sisters Donna (Dick) Miller, Janet (Art) Tietjen, Lori Rehm; brothers Tom and Rodney; brothers-in-law Greg Poncelet, Doug Stephens, Dick Miller and Art Tietjen.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce (Kirtz) Freiburg; son David; daughter Kathy and husband Guy Martindale; grandchildren Andrew, Sarah and Emily Freiburg, Megan and Nicole Martindale; great grandchildren Audrey Schultz, Brielle Freiburg; brother-in-law Rod Kirtz; sisters-in-law Linda Kirtz, Nancy Binner, Janiel Poncelet, Shirley Kirtz; nieces and nephews.
Gary was a machinist his entire life, with woodworking, mechanic and all around fix and repair skills. He and Rod Kirtz (brother-in-law) built and repaired much in their spare time, tackling many jobs. Where there was a will they could figure out a way. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, pool, old cars, hunting, fishing and helping others with their projects.
A Celebration of Life will be held at later date.
