Harold Heise Obituary

    The funeral service for Harold Heise will be at 11  a.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, at Trinity Lutheran Church – Lincoln in rural Lake City with Pastor Dan Reich officiating.  Burial will be in the Jacksonville Cemetery in rural Lake City.
    Harold Charles Heise, 90, of Lake City, passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System – Lake City Care Center.  
    Harold was born Oct. 20, 1927 in Lake City to Walter and Anna (McFarland) Heise.  He attended school at Lincoln Lutheran School in rural Lake City.  On June 14, 1950 he married Donna Mae Manthei in Zumbrota, at Christ Lutheran Church.
    Harold farmed his entire life in Gillford Township on the family farm.  In January 2016 he moved to the Lake City Care Center.  He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church – Lincoln.  Harold served on the Gillford Town Board for 20 years.  He was a 33 year member of the Pheasants Forever, joining in 1985, and at the age of 17 he became a charter member of Zumbro Valley Sportsman Club.
    Harold is survived by his wife, Donna Heise of Lake City; a son, Daniel Heise of Lake City; three daughters, Jeanette (Louis) Qualtiere of Canada, Debra (Craig) Harteneck of Lake City, and Cindy Dilworth (Rob Roeder) of Stewartville; and six grandchildren, Elaine Qualtiere, Devon Harteneck, Gabrielle Harteneck, Jon Dilworth, Megan Heise and Clayton Heise.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and daughter-in-law, Suzanne Heise.
    Friends and family may visit from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural —Lake City and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
    Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church – Lincoln Building Fund.
    Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Schleicher Funeral Homes, Lake City Chapel in Lake City.  The guest register may be signed online at www.schleicherfuneralhomes.com.
