Helen Tomforde obituary

    Helen Tomforde, 68, of Frontenac, Minn. passed away at her home on January 5, 2023.
    Helen was born on January 23, 1956 to Joseph and Anne (Johnson) Giesler in Lake City, Minn. She graduated from Lincoln High in Lake City in 1974. Helen married Lyle Tomforde April 26, 1975 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City. Helen and her husband owned and operated a flooring installation business for many years in the Lake City and Red Wing area. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Frontenac.
    Helen is survived by her husband, Lyle; daughter, Melanie (Jermey) Peterson of Ellsworth, Wis.; grandson, Zack Peterson; two brothers, Raymond (Donna) Giesler of Vero Beach, Fla., Joseph Giesler of Lakeville, Minn.
    She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Giesler; sister, Barb Pechacek.
    Memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Frontenac with Reverend Alan Horn officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson - Peterson Chapel in Lake City from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and one hour before the service at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
