Jake Howlett Obituary

Jake Christopher Howlett passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 doing what he loved.
    Jake was born July 26, 1999 in Salida, Colo. and spent most of his life in the Colorado mountains, except for a few years which were spent in Lake City. He loved hunting, football, wrestling, anything with four wheels and his girlfriend, Destiny. He loved fiercely and will be missed deeply by his family and friends.
    He is survived by his dad, Mike, of Buena Vista, Colo.; his mom, Kate, sister, McKenna, step-dad, Kirk, step-brothers, Derek and Devin, all of Lake City, his grandmother, Carolyn, of Buena Vista, Colo., his girlfriend, Destiny, of Canon City, Colo.; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Howlett, of Buena Vista, Colo., Jim and Pat Nolan, of Lake City, and Bob Casey, of Buena Vista, Colo.
    A memorial service was held in Buena Vista on July 28 and his ashes were spread with his Grandpa John's.
