Jane White obituary

Jane “Betsy” White, 75, passed away at her home in Lake City on Monday, December 23, 2024.
Betsy White was born May 7, 1949 in York, Maine. Betsy and her husband Darrel made Lake City their vacation spot at Camp Lacupolis. After retirement, they became permanent residents on Ida Path. When Darrel died, Betsy carved out a place for herself, joining the VFW Auxiliary 8729, becoming a life member. She volunteered many hours working Friday night meat raffles and fund-raising events.
She leaves behind two sisters, Sally Turner of Dover, N.H., Kathleen Turner of Yarmouth Port, Mass.; cousins, aunties; cats, Waldo, and Charlie; and many, many wonderful friends, and great memories.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lake City VFW Post 8729. Online condolences may be left at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
